Privacy policy

This explains what Scents by Sanya collects, why, and how to remove it. We don’t sell your personal information.

What we collect

Account: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google. Used to sign you in.
Your shelf: the fragrances you add. Private unless you make your profile public.
Wear logs and combo ratings: longevity, sillage, ratings and the temperature you report. Only you see your entries; everyone sees averages that combine many people, never your individual entries.
Fragrances and corrections you contribute: these join the shared library. If you delete your account, they stay without your name attached.
AI lookups: the fragrance names you look up, kept to enforce the daily limit.
Weather: if you share your location, it is rounded to about 1 km and used once to fetch the temperature; we don’t store it. A ZIP code you enter is saved only in your own browser.
Shop clicks: which fragrance and retailer link was clicked, without your identity, so we know which links are useful.
Cookies: only the ones needed to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Google (sign-in, if you choose it).
Anthropic (looks up fragrance notes; receives only the fragrance name you type).
Open-Meteo and Zippopotam.us (weather and ZIP lookup; receive only rounded coordinates or a ZIP code).
Retailers you click through to have their own privacy policies.

Make your profile public or private at any time in Settings.
Delete your account in Settings. Your profile, shelf, wear logs and ratings are deleted.

Scents by Sanya isn’t for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
